About

Sara Richardson is a graphic and motion designer (and sometimes still theater artist) based in Minneapolis, MN. Through her work at Lemonada Media, she is proud to have been the designer for the podcast Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus since Season 2, building out the brand and creating frame-by-frame doodled audiograms (like this one for Gloria Steinem!).

Also at Lemonada, she has had the honor of designing and animating audiograms and audio trailers for numerous shows including Mind Your Own with Lupita Nyong’o, The Pink House with Sam Smith (portrait illustrations by Chris Larson), and The Defenders, to name a few, and creating the key art for a variety of shows including Choice Words with Samantha Bee, Your Next Listen, and I Need to Ask You Something, among others.

Someday she will update her website. In the meantime, more info below:

  • Sara loves supporting the amazing work people are doing in our communities through design.

In 2017, she returned to a love of visual arts from many years as a performing artist. Her design approach is informed by her years in the theater and her training at Lecoq in Paris: research / observation, collaboration, a sense of play, character, timing, elements of surprise, and distilling things down to their essentials.

She loves serving small businesses, organizations, and artists working to create change, level the playing field, or make our world a more beautiful and joyful place. Past clients include Urban Design Perspectives, The Wound Company, The Woke Coach, Cluttoh Helpoh, Theatre Mu, Annie & the Bang Bang, Turn Turn Turn, Minnesota Private Colleges, The Science Museum and more.

Training: MCAD — MAGWD, Aug. 2019
